An effective manager forms trusting relationships with the people they lead, makes wise decisions about hiring, work assignment, and advancement, and helps people grow their skills by giving feedback and providing support and coaching. In Paradigm’s Manager Fundamentals training, we’ll provide managers with strategies to drive high-performance and foster a sense of belonging within their teams. We’ll focus on four key pillars of management: conducting effective 1:1s, distributing work thoughtfully, providing constructive feedback, and leading impactful meetings.

Define what effective management looks like. Align on the important role managers play in fostering high-performance cultures.

Effective 1:1s

Discuss how 1:1s motivate employees to do their best work and help strengthen and build the relationships that are essential for belonging.

Effective Work Distribution

Review strategies for distributing work in a way that respects and values differences among team members.

Effective Feedback

Review strategies for giving feedback that helps employees understand how they are performing, to reinforce a learning culture on your team, and to bolster belonging.

Effective Meetings

Learn concrete tactics for fostering a speak-up culture, where the best ideas can be heard and employees feel valued for their contributions.

Action Planning

We engage managers in applying learnings and work with each other to identify specific next steps for creating high-performing teams across the organization.
