A growth mindset is the belief that abilities and talents are malleable rather than fixed traits. Research shows that people who approach work with a growth mindset exhibit many behaviors that lead to greater effectiveness at work: pushing themselves, taking risks, and staying resilient in the face of setbacks. Importantly, cultures can cause people to either approach work with a fixed mindset or a growth mindset. Environments that help individuals operate with a growth mindset—cultures of growth—lead to more resilience, belonging, and adaptability. In this training, we equip leaders with concrete strategies to foster a culture of growth.
