Sean Malahy, PhD
As a Data Scientist, Sean uses his statistical background to delve into organizational data and provide a detailed picture of employees’ experiences, as well as companies’ diversity realities, and progress towards diversity goals. Sean uses his research and theoretical training to make recommendations for evidence-based changes to organizational culture, process, and structure. He gained experimental and analytical expertise from the PhD program at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, where he designed and executed experimental work in the areas of organizational behavior and social psychology, focusing especially on diversity, ethics, and relationships in work environments.
Before joining Paradigm, Sean was a PhD fellow at Stanford’s Center for Philanthropy and Civil Society. At PACS, he worked with scholars from economics, sociology, political philosophy, and law to develop a better understanding and application of research to meet the needs of civil society. His experience instilled a passion for using multidisciplinary research and data analytics to address issues of justice and fairness in society.
