As a Data Scientist, Sarah leverages her background in organizational theory and computational methods to discover and interpret patterns in organizational data. In particular, she draws on both experimental and observational techniques to establish a robust picture of each organization’s unique culture, structure, and processes. Using these data, Sarah is then able to make targeted, organization-specific recommendations aimed at helping each individual company progress towards its diversity goals.
Before joining Paradigm, Sarah earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. While at Stanford, she was also a member of the Computational Culture Lab, which works to develop novel methods of measuring culture and of modeling its evolution. Her own research examined the long-run consequences of hiring for cultural fit using techniques from natural language processing.
